* download Verify WC3 files here. (local)
* Extract all the files to a temporary folder
* Run the application
* Browse to your Warcraft III folder (the one where the w3l.exe & war3.exe resides)
* Select your Warcraft III version
* Select the result options or just leave them unselected (recommended)
* Once the verification is done, you can right-click the results and copy it to the clipboard and then paste it into a new Technical Support thread here on the forum

I've coded an app. in NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) that does filesize & content (md5 hash) verification. Its purpose was for people struggling to get their version upgraded to 1.23 and for people unable to launch the game/connect to bnet. The app. makes use of a list of files (see the files.txt file) with their associated (presumable correct) sizes & hash values and also an indication field for stating whether the file should exist, size be a match or content should match too.
I haven't tested it out with any Warcraft III theme modifications yet. If you have WC3 v1.22 you will get many errors!
I've compiled the list containing the file sizes & hashes using a legal & clean copy of Warcraft III, patched fully (using the 53MB full patch from Blizzard) to 1.23 and I've also included the hashes of DotA 6.59d & 6.57b.
Source code: http://www.quickshar...idater.nsi.html
Windows binaries (executable): http://www.quickshar....5.0.4.zip.html
To use it, extract both the files from the zip-file and run the executable. In Vista it will ask you for admin privileges if you don't have UAC disabled (I wasn't sure if admin privileges was required, so I just forced it to use it
)
It will ask you for the path to your Warcraft III folder and then it will start with the verification that can take a couple of minutes (depending on how fast your harddrive is). The results are shown in a list and can be copied to the clipboard if you want to upload your results...
I would really appreciate it if I can get a few "beta testers". People with "illegal" copies of Warcraft III should also pass this verification process without getting any errors from my app (I think).
